Sue Reinvented ~ Phase I

The biggest and most stunning reveal, yet!  At the end of November 2018, Sandra Kelly Interior Design, took on another entire home makeover!  This design project was an ideal opportunity to do some new things and create another space for a very deserving and patient woman.

The Client wanted a home where she could host family and create new friendships.  Needless to say, when she turned the keys to the house over to us, she entrusted our Team to provide the look and feel of home.

So the two month adventure started. One of the Client's "must-haves" was a TV/fireplace wall design.  The wall has now become the focal point of the space and all who enter are in awe of it. In the living room, we used this gorgeous slate palette throughout. However, there was no fireplace in the existing space!  This was not only a challenge, but also a first for the Team.

In the dining room, we imposed a touch of glam.  We combined the Client's rich, classic dining table with some fabric tufted chairs that cozily hugged the space. We also wanted to add a dramatic effect to this space and filled that need with wallpaper under chair rails and touches of gold and natural elements throughout.

The Client wanted to update the kitchen backsplash.  However, the Client did not want the backsplash to dramatically impact the overall budget.   Therefore, we offered an alternative to tiling and the Client was ecstatic with the result. We  painted and glazed the existing tile to create an oversized brick look.   We also maximized a portion of the kitchen area containing a small desk space area and transformed it into a wet bar with a wine rack, wine fridge and all the fixings for a great party!

In both the master bedroom and bath, we continued the slate palette.  We utilized plush bedding, glamorous mirrored furniture and lots of shine anywhere we could. In the master bath, the classic spa feeling we typically use in most projects is apparent and beautiful.

Welcome to TN and welcome home, Sue!
